Katie graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 2004, with a Bachelor degree in Business Management. She successfully managed her family’s Fitness Center in Cleburne, TX for 8 years and established a strong network of relationships within the community. In 2007, Katie put her management skills and relationships to work by utilizing JW’s knowledge and experience in the construction industry and establishing Benchmark Building and Construction. Together, Katie and JW have built a company they are proud of.
JW Morgan, a Navy veteran, graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington in 2004, with a Bachelor degree in Business Management. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. After graduating from college, he worked his way up at B’s Fab and Mechanical from a laborer to the Operations Manager/Projects Purchasing Manager. In 2007, JW took a leap of faith with Katie and went back to work with his tools. Starting over as a laborer, JW truly established Benchmark’s core values of quality, honesty and hard work. One client at a time, one employee at a time, JW now manages a great crew of leaders to make Benchmark grow and thrive on its original roots.

Hunter Ryan Graduated from Harding University where he played football and threw discus and hammer for the track team. After College he realized he wanted to accomplish more than continue to sit in a class room. Having worked in construction since he was 18 years old, he turned to what he knew. He then worked his way up from laborer to Operations/Sales Manager for RC Clayton Contracting. During his time there, he was able to amass a wide range of experience from small scale remodels to large-scale commercial buildouts. In 2020 he also started a painting and specialty coatings company which opened the doors further into the commercial world of construction. Hunter embodies the core values Benchmark was founded upon and continues to push the needle forward on developing relationships and cultivating a company that strives to provide value beyond expectation to its customers.

With plans to build our forever home we contacted Benchmark Building & Construction in hopes of getting a bid on a set of house plans that we were really in love with. Little did we know how much we would really get when we decided to have Benchmark Building & Construction build our home. Working with JW, Katie, and Jon was an amazing experience and the process was not only stress free, but enjoyable. We got everything that we wanted in our new home plus more. After our home was finished we called them back to build a metal building shop for us because of the quality of work they did on our new home. From the first time my husband and I met with JW Morgan at Benchmark Building and Construction until the day we moved into our new home we were extremely satisfied with the entire building process. Using a picture from the Internet and a piece of paper with a “rough” sketch of the interior, JW was able to build our dream home. We were very fortunate to work with Jon Eide who patiently answered my numerous texts and phone calls along the way. Anytime I had a question about where we stood on our budget, Katie would promptly provide me with an easy to understand spreadsheet.
