When it became necessary for the Shamblins to add a horse barn to their already impressive estate, they called upon Benchmark to assist them in this endeavor.
Benchmark worked closely with the owner to formulate a layout large enough for all their necessary functions, yet take up as little space as possible.
After the floorplan was determined it was essential to make the building look and feel as though it had always been there, and was of equitable standards to the extraordinary home and other buildings on the property.
The building was constructed in the clerestory style, finished with wainscotting, and fitted with hand built cross wood sliding doors at each end, and on each stall. This stately 2,400 SF barn is comprised of (6) horse stalls, a wash bay, a tack room, a feed room, and a pump room. Ten feet of eave extension provides ample shade on the stall side of the barn.
